The search is on to find the 'best of the best' tourism and hospitality businesses in the county, so if you provide a great visitor experience, have high quality accommodation, serve delicious food or deliver the 'WOW' factor in customer service then we need to hear from you.
Eighteen awards are up for the taking so whatever your business, whether you run a hotel, restaurant or guest house, visitor attraction, event or caravan park there is a category for you.
Winning an award says much about your business. Simply by taking part you could improve your business performance in terms of profitability, quality, sustainability, staff morale and customer satisfaction.
The awards recognise excellence and brilliance within Essex's vibrant tourism and hospitality industries and generate valuable publicity for finalists and winners.
Winners of the main tourism awards will go forward to represent Essex in the national 2014 Visit England Awards for Excellence.

We recommend that before you start to prepare your entry you need to read the "First Steps" information below so you know which categories you should be entering and exactly how to go about it.
Entry is online and is free of charge and you are able to enter more than one category. It's really easy to enter - all you have to do is answer a maximum of six questions and then if you wish, you can attach up to six supporting documents or photographs to help support your entry.
